Data Science Scholars Won Three Silver Medals and One Bronze Medal at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva
Four research teams, comprising faculty members and researchers from the Department of Data Science, have achieved remarkable results at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva (IEIG), winning three Silver Medals and one Bronze Medal. Congratulations to Prof. Zijun ZHANG, Prof. Lishuai LI, Prof. Xinke LI, and Prof. Yining DONG, along with their research team members including Mr. Xinuo ZHAO, Ms. Liang WANG, Dr. Xinyue HE and Dr. Yiren LIU, on these remarkable accomplishments.
This year, CityUHK has snatched a total of 33 awards, including one Special Prize, five Gold Medals with Congratulations of the Jury, nine Gold Medals, 16 Silver Medals, and two Bronze Medals. The success keenly demonstrates CityUHK’s unwavering commitment to excellence in high-quality research and innovation on the global stage.
IEIG is a leading annual event devoted exclusively to inventions globally. It provides a unique opportunity for inventors and researchers to present the results of their research and their new products. With its leading global standing and scale, it is recognized as the most important global event showcasing innovations and inventions from around the world. In its 50th session held from 9 to 13 April 2025 in Switzerland, the event featured over 1,000 inventions from 42 countries and regions.
