Academic Advising

Student Advising Scheme

Student advising is an active interaction between faculty, staff and students with an explicit purpose that through academic advising, students’ learning experience will be enhanced. Under the University guideline, each entering student (the “Advisee” or “Mentee”) will be assigned one academic staff as the Academic Advisor and one experienced student as Student Mentor. The Academic Advisor will assist students in addressing their academic concerns and queries so that they will make satisfactory progress and development. The student must meet the Academic Advisor at least once a semester during the first two years of study for advice on course selection, programme selection, study skills, professional development, etc.
