Data Science Scholar Receives the Thetos Young Scholar Award 2024-25

We are delighted to announce that Professor Xiangyu ZHAO, Assistant Professor at the Department of Data Science, has been honored with the Thetos Young Scholar Award for 2024-25.

With the generous support from Thetos Foundation Hong Kong, the "Thetos Young Scholar Award Scheme" (the Scheme) is established at CityUHK to encourage early-stage scholars to strive for academic and research excellence. Endowed with a perpetual fund, the Scheme annually recognizes two outstanding recipients. This funding will support Prof ZHAO to advance his research and scholarly pursuits, furthering his professional and personal development.
