We are proud to share that 17 scholars affiliated with the Department of Data Science (DS) have been recognized among the World’s Top 2% Most-Cited Scientists 2026 by the Stanford–Elsevier standardized citation indicators.
The 2026 list was published in October 2026 as the August 2026 data update of “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators” by Elsevier BV. This year’s recognized DS-affiliated scholars include 12 academic staff members, 1 adjunct professor, and 4 affiliate members.
The 2026 selection is based on the top 100,000 scientists by c-score, with and without self-citations, or those with a percentile rank of 2% or above in their sub-field. The latest version includes career-long data updated to the end of 2025, while the single recent year data reflect citations received during calendar year 2025.
This recognition highlights the continued research excellence and global impact of scholars affiliated with DS. Their achievements reflect the Department’s strong commitment to advancing high-impact, interdisciplinary research in data science and related fields.
