19 Scholars affiliated with the Department of Data Science (DS) are recognized in Stanford’s List of World’s Top 2% Scientists 2025
We are proud to share that 19 faculty members affiliated with the Department of Data Science (DS) have been recognized as Top 2% of the World’s Most Cited Scholars by the Stanford-Elsevier indicators. The list were released in late-September 2025.
Nearly 260 CityUHK scholars rank among the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists for 2025—up almost 50 on last year—affirming the University’s global research impact. The selection ranked the top 100,000 scientists by citation score (with and without self-citations) or a percentile rank of 2% or above in their specialty field. The list is based on two sets of categorizations. Career-long consists of data running up to the end of 2024; whereas Single Year data pertained to citations received during calendar year 2024.
